09/09/2019: Dr. Yan delivered a talk entitled " Small RNAs as the mediator of epigenetic inheritance" at the UNR Molecular Biosciences Symposium (formerly the George G Bierkamper Graduate Student Retreat).
03/28/2019: Dr. Jacquetta Trasler from McGill University visited our lab and delivered a great talk entitled “Creating and Perturbing Epigenetic Patterns in Germ Cells and Embryos: Implications for the Next Generation”.
03/06/2019: Dr. Yan gave a seminar talk entitled "Functions of Motile Cilia in The Male Reproductive System" at the University of Rochester, NY.
12/01/2018: Drs. Wei Yan and Neda Etezadi-Amoli received the 2019 UNR Med faculty development grant to study novel cell types identified in human Fallopian tube.
07/01/2018: The Templeton Foundation funded a project entitled "Epigenetic Transgenerational Diagnostics for Disease Susceptibility". This project is led by Drs. Skinner (WSU), Yan (UNR), Holder (WSU) and Winchester (IU) and will be completed in 2021.
04/25/2018: Dr. Yan won the 2018 SSR Research Award, which recognizes an active, regular member of the Society for outstanding research published over the previous six years. In making its recommendation, the Awards Committee considers the significance of the problems under investigation, the breadth and depth of the analyses performed, and the level of originality manifested in the publications of this work.
